Underdog studio team is looking for a strong Gameplay Programmer with at least 2 years working professionally in Unreal Engine 4 (bonus if worked on UE5)

Candidate will ideally have demonstrable experience with the following Unreal Technologies:

  • Blueprints
  • Gameplay Ability System
  • Game Framework System
  • Unreal Plugin Architecture
  • UnrealBuidTool
  • Unreal Editors (Niagara, Chaos, Physx, Shader Graphs, Material, Timelines, etc.)

Candidate will ideally have a solid foundational knowledge of the following:

  • C++ (3+ years education and professional development experience)
  • Engineering Design Patterns
  • Large Codebases
  • Game System Architectures

Candidate will ideally have exposure to the following tools & technologies:

  • Visual Studio
  • Perforce SCM
  • Incredibuild
  • Jenkins (or other CI solution)

Additional skills sought after:

  • Behavior Trees
  • Blackboards
  • Unreal Replication
  • Console Experience (PS4/PS5, XBOne, XBox Series X/S)
  • Asynchronous operations (Threads, Fibers, etc.)
